Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are looking for a full-time embedded firmware engineer to help us creating and implementing the digital control systems required for high power / high efficiency wireless power transfer.

About TILER

TILER is a young and ambitious start-up in the e-bike charging space. Build on an academic project by the TU Delft, we have developed a Charging Tile on which an e-bike can be wirelessly charged.Simply park the e-bike with the Charging Kickstand on the tile and the e-bike will start charging immediately. No more hassle and clutter with cables, or the risk that an e-bike isn't charged, charging goes intuitively. We are focusing on the B2B market for shared e-bike fleets at hotels, businesses and in the public space. Our goal is to accelerate the use of light electric vehicles, by making the user experience so good that people want to take the sustainable option.

Job description

Currently, we are working on getting the product ready for commercialization and embedded firmware is essential in this process. You will help create and implement the digital control systems required for high power / high-efficiency wireless power transfer. For this, you will work closely with internal and external experts on power electronics, electro-magnetics, and control.

Activities

  • Design, implementation, and testing of control systems for wireless power transfer
  • Delivery of robust and maintainable firmware
  • Document the structure of your control systems and software in a clear manner

What we are looking for

  • A master’s degree in the field of technology or bachelor’s degree in combination with relevant professional experience.
  • Great affinity with programming in C and coding best practices
  • Experience with version control (Git)
  • A good understanding of control systems and the ability to implement them in software - Affinity with analog electronics and specifically LC circuits
  • The ability to work with hardware test setups to test your control systems. (HiL)
  • Knowledge of implementing communication protocols like SPI, I2C, CAN etc.
